Kenosha Welcome Center - Pantry Support

Open Opportunity

About

Kenosha Welcome Center Mission - Providing nutritious food, essential support, and dignity to those in transition through the generosity of volunteers and community partners.

We need volunteers to commit to two or more hours of volunteering. We are open to volunteers

  • Mondays 10 am to 2 pm - highest need
  • Tuesdays 11 am to 1 pm - highest need
  • Wednesdays 10 am to 2 pm
  • Thursdays 10 am to 2 pm

Volunteering involves getting a name tag, a brief orientation and then starting.  We need help unloading food from pallets onto other pallets, sorting nonperishable food items, preparing bags of food for distribution, preparing bags of meat for distribution, and several other tasks.  We try to be very patient and accommodating and we want the volunteers to have a welcoming experience.

The volunteers should present at the front door of the Kenosha Welcome Center, 7403 30th Avenue, Kenosha.  30th Avenue is a busy street so I would recommend they park on 29th Avenue and walk around to the front of the building.
